Starting with page 06, I made the switch to producing PoL in Manga Studio EX 5, and it’s really made a difference in line quality versus inking in Photoshop. I find I have to go back and clean up my lines a lot less, can switch between custom color palettes more easily compared to PS, and its story mode makes keeping track of pages a breeze.

Ep. 01, Pg 24 redrawI actually went through and redrew all of Episode 01 in 2010-11, but I’ve been dissatisfied with much of the completed inks and some of the sketched pages. Though parts of this will have to be revisited and brought up to my current ability, I mostly like what’s going on in this page. Poor Kedamono. XD

Hey, folks! I’m happy to announce that The Pride of Life will be updating again on the first Wednesday in April! But what’s this about getting to access new pages early?
Well, as some of you may already know, I’m shifting career gears and getting back into doing comic work, and I’d like to try and make PoL work for me. That’s where Patreon comes in. You can support PoL by becoming patrons and pledging small amounts per month that you set—as low as $1! In exchange, you’ll not only have early access to new pages, but other tiered rewards!

I commissioned my resident homey Stigmata (known for taking it to the limit and generally being a Real Cool Dude™) a year or two ago for one of his Metal Gear sketches, and he provided a pretty rad Nickles! He also surprised me with a WIP of a Kedamono sketch some time later. <3

If you’re an FA user and like the Nickles piece enough to fave/comment, please do so here!

Hey, party people! I know some of my non-US readers have had trouble accessing the site due to the host blocking certain IPs from their countries, so I’ve made ALL current PoL episodes available to read on my Weasyl account.

Also, I’ll see where the next few weeks take me between school/commercial work, but with any luck, PoL will return in early April, possibly sooner. New pages have already been created and I’m building up a buffer at the moment. I also have another announcement to roll out in the coming weeks as well, so stay tuned~

Now that this neat little Kedamono sketch by Henrieke has your attention, I want to ask your opinion, dear readers!I’ll talk about the main comic a bit later, but had some plans for side comics that I’d like your thoughts on. Please read on the deets at my FurAffinity, Weasyl, or deviantArt accounts and feel free to comment!
